Well..... I wouldnt say that. I mean. I had two banty hens sitting and one we put 4 duck eggs under and the other got 3 EE eggs and a banty egg. 2 of the EEs and the banty hatched, then only one duckling hatched. So they are all in the same brooder in my living room, which is ACTUALLY a dog kennel

but you have to keep an eye out to be sure it stays dry in there. The chicks wont like the wetness and can get ill from it. I do however have a very happy duckling, considering the first two days he made friends with a mirror and a beanie baby bear. lol. They love the company if they are lone ducklings. Just be vigilant about cleanliness. I cant express that enough.

Thanks for all the info. I appreciate it !

Ive eaten duck eggs before and found the duck eggs a having a stronger flavor.

Just be careful and watch the ducks when they are in the tub.....you should only let them swim for about 10-15 min. and stay with them. They tire quickly and their down becomes soaked like a sponge..they can drown very easily. Once their feathers come in, they can and swim all day long. I hope you consider getting a few more. I have 12 and they love to play and hang out together. I would have atleast 4. Good Luck and they are precious.....

I wis hwe could do more, but we are pushing it with 4 hens and 2 ducks. we are only allowed 3 poultry in city limits.

We let them swim about 10 mins, and we watched and laughed the whole time. the kids broke some cheerios into small pieces and let them fish for the pieces
