I think some people have the best intentions but just miss some things or really don’t know any better. One persons idea of well cared for birds is another’s hot mess.
It was definitely an honest mistake. She's distraught about it and has a massive flock to treat now. I do believe she checked the birds for lice and other mites, but since she was holding them by the legs she missed these ones. I shouldn't have been so angry (though I was probably more angry at myself), it was just super disappointing after having driven that far and paid a big chunk of change. But mistakes happen. Learning experiences and all thatThat is great!! So it probably was a honest mistake.
Exactly!! I have learned so much... and there are a lot of "I'll know better next time"s!It was definitely an honest mistake. She's distraught about it and has a massive flock to treat now. Now excuse my whole I go spray permethrin on every square inch of my property
AgreedThat is not a new case of SLM....it's been there for months.
May never really grow scales back.
Gonna be hard to tell if they are dead or not. I suppose no further buildup would be a sign, might not be immediately apparent so just slather her legs in ointment or oil every few days for a couple weeks. But I'll still be able to tell that the mites are gone as long as there's no build up?
I hesitated to post this, because I know that you're personally VERY against this method... I made a judgement call, because I simply do not have the mental capacity (or time) to fight this for months. So it was either culling her or trying the gasoline. I feel optimistic. And it truly did not seem to bother her.Gonna be hard to tell if they are dead or not. I wouldn't do it, but not sure where you got the idea that I was "VERY" against it.I hesitated to post this, because I know that you're personally VERY against this method
