I'm stumped

Is the skin under the feathers black, or just the shanks and comb? Many of my home bred BSL have black combs until they either: become sexually mature, or go through their first adult molt. Those birds typically have slate legs, but their skin is not black.

Her skin is black/slate too.

That's good to know, thanks! Are these black skinned Sexlinks new? I got mine last year and they never looked anything like this so that's what threw me off to give bad info to the OP.. they always had pink skin and barely any brown streaks on the chest. Blue legs with white nails.

Asian blacks are new. I don't think they have black skin though.....
Maybe you didn't have sex links...?? Never heard of one with blue legs.

Honestly wouldn't surprise me, my TSC is pretty bad with labeling it's chicks. If they were still alive I'd show a pic, but they didn't survive our heat wave this year.
