With all the Forums, it's kinda hard to just find an answer. I'm sure I could "Google" I "joined" BYC because I bought 8 chickens, however I previously searched this website when I decided to buy ducks :) they were mail ordered and sexed female. My girls have since passed away and I went to local farm store and bought 6 more ducks (get what you get) I now have 2 males and one female. I can't touch them like I did my first set, they just want food and the pond. I feel awful about my female she looks very drained if you know what I mean. Can I separate her from the males to give her a break? BTW the chickens are doing great!

Sounds to me like she needs a vacation .some friendly time with humans certainly can't hurt
maybe she just needs somebody to treat her like a pet for a while. I don't know about less vulnerable but I think certainly more rested and less stressed.

Hello poultrynme, welcome to BYC. I would do as drumstick Diva suggested. For the overall care and protection of the female.

Welcome aboard! :frow
