I'm totally numb

Nothing fancy, just one of those inexpensive styrofoam models with a turner in it. I also have three thermometers in there and am constantly checking that sucker. I wish I had something fancier, but we work with what we can get, I guess. I've done a brood in it before with another teacher, it's functional and fairly straight forward. It doesn't have a circulating fan, but is fairly well ventilated (not so much that temperature is affected though).

Mark - mostly through day two, already pacing the floor, and double checking everything.

Well, lots of chicks have been hatched in those still air bators. The temps are the most critical thing and then raising the humidity up during the last three days would be the next most important. It can vary alot during the first 18 days. I know what you mean about pacing the floor, though, LOL. I'm about to incubate chicks again myself and I'm excited about it. My youngest are 22 weeks old now so it's been that long since I've had the hatching high. Crossing fingers for your hatch!

look up the post on how to help the lil ones outa their shells...i let 3 die in their shells then hatched out the next 3 on my own...worked a treat and there are 3 healthy 9week olds now out with the rest who hatched themselves.
