im trying to find a incubator will this one do?

https://www.amazon.com/Incubator-Di...68&sr=8-7&keywords=incubator+for+chicken+eggs so this is the incubator that i would like to get but this is my first time incubating and would like to know if this would be a good one thanks

It looks like a cheap knock off of a Brinsea. The reviews are half 1 star. It is super inexpensive but you get what you pay for. I started with a Tractor supply one with a 30 day warranty and it failed right about lock down on the first batch. I then returned it and coughed up the $$ for brisnea which granted are over priced but havent had any issues yet. 3 year warranty speaks for itself. I even bought a second Brinsea Eco just for the lockdown hatching phase so i dint need to clean the more complicated one and could have batches every 18 days instead of every 23-24 days.

I use GQF hovabator. Both the 1602N, which is great for the price. And the 1588 with auto turner and digital controls and fan for twice the price.

Both good starter incubators in mu experience. And let be real... who wants to hatch only 7 eggs, when you often don't get 100%! Leave room for chicken math. ;)

Instead of buying a cheap incubator, you could consider making one if you can't afford a better, more expensive model? The cheapest ones are literally a plastic box with a pot of water. It's surprisingly easy to replicate this with a plastic container, a light bulb fixture, and a tub of water. Add a fan and a coupleof thermometers/hygrometers and a dimmer switch to the lamp and you have yourself an economy incubator. There are lots of designs available. I did this when I wanted to hatch just a few eggs without spending much and it has worked really well.

I got this one a Janoel 12 for Christmas. I wanted something small and under $70 to play around with. It had decent reviews on amazon and from users here. I paid $58 total for incubator and magicfly thermometer. I fit 12 Silkie eggs in it. Have had it going 3 days, 1 day with eggs in it temperature has been spot on the whole time. I have been double checking temperatures with the meat thermometer. Not perfect, no humidity monitor, temperature only in Celsius but it had an auto egg roller and fan. Hey, it’s got to be better than the horrible little giant I borrowed from a friend that would not regulate temperature at all no matter what I did it was 99f on one side and 104f on the other. Good tips on here and u tube video to help tweak it.

Great post ive seen these on amazon and ive been wondering the same thing if they are actually a good product. I made my own for my first hatch an want to do another in spring but only want to do a small number of eggs an have more control in a sense than trail an error with a home made one. the same ones ive seen also range from $19-$70 on amazon. Walmart online sells different ones an this one as well.
