This is Giuseppina!! She is a leghorn and about 14 weeks old .. she loves to honk and use her voice .. i’m worried about her comb flopping over, possibly the color but she’s not mature yet so that makes sense!! My girls free range unless i’m not home which is normally short periods of time! Then have wateres scattered all over the yard and in the run, they are still on grower feed but mostly forage! Is this normal?

My three three month old white leghorns’ combs are small and pale and I’m wondering if this is normal for that age as I believe they’re supposed to have a rather large comb. It’s the paleness that concerns me. What do you think? I have several three year old white leghorn that have enormous rather dark red floppy combs. what should I expect with my three month olds?

It’s normal for Leghorn combs.

It's 100% normal for Leghorns. I think it's so cute - like a cocked hat.

Here's my Saffron (in the background) with her big, floppy comb:

I'd get better pics, but Saffron won't hold still...ever!
😂

As a pullet reaches point of lay the comb will turn bright red.
As a mature hen cycles through laying/not laying (ie molting) the comb will be paler or brighter accordingly.
Your pullet is lovely!
