I'm Worried about my Hen

Hi ClareScifi. The story of my poor Peter Rabbit in short. Last summer i bought 4 growers. Before they were big enough to live with my other hens I housed them in the rabbit garden as it is more protected from birds of prey. Obviously they had their own accommodation. Now several months on the hens are all living together but one of them, Lottie my Exchequer, likes to go back to the rabbit garden every day. The rabbits weren't happy about it, especially when she decided she wanted to hang out in their house, and they started to protect it by standing in the door way. She gave Peter an almighty peck to the side of one of his eyes which caused it to rupture. I feared he would lose it but the vet was confident she could save it and actually she did, but then he developed an infection which despite being treated spread to the bone and he had to be put to sleep. He was only 4 1/2yrs old and such a beautiful boy. :(

Awww, I'm so sorry, cheep cheep. That is sooo sad. I just now saw your posting about this. I hope Peter Rabbit is hopping along the Rainbow Bridge in Heaven, having fun in a perfect place, free of accidents and injuries. The freakiest things like this can happen here on Earth! Love you. Thanks for sharing with me what happened.

One of my hens is acting very strange. I know these past couple months the weather has been all over the place not knowing where to settle but only one chicken out of my, about 30 chickens isn't quite well. As I was going to to lock up my chickens for the night I found lil Betsy in the doorway of the coop , just sitting there and not knowing any better the other chickens and ducks just walked right on top of her i brang her inside and put her in a box kept her warm and gave her food and water. She hasn't walked but she is eating and drinking. She hasn't laid any eggs, most of my chickens haven't started laying yet either but she is always tired looking and every time I check on her she's sleeping , now she is only about 2 years old i don't know what's wrong.

Hmm, jewjewbee, I don't know what it could be. You can try posting this under Emergencies and Diseases in the forum, where you are likely to get more responses?
