Imaginations Needed!!

Get all you can. My first house was built in the 1920's and when we needed to replace a window, we couldn't find one. We were willing to pay whatever was necessary to keep the house in original condition. You could easily make a few bucks on this.

Don't forget hinges and hardware that you might use for windows and doors. Man, you have a gold mine of materials that you could use. That's awesome!

Be careful with things that have been there since the house was buit...lots of 1940's houses have asbestos in the floors & shingles! Just watch out when removing windows & things like that.

You are lucky to be able to score some good material!!

Cupboards!!!! definetly the cupboards!!! and any build in curios....

GREAT reminder!!!

Ware long sleeve shirt over a t-shirt and a mask. Remove the outer layer BEFORE you leave the property, put it in a plastic bag and run it though the wash ASAP!!!! Toss the mask, do NOT reuse it!

Have fun!!!!!

This is one of the best things about my new chickens. The way I look at stuff. A few months ago I would never have wanted an old drawer, now.......

Remember that lead paint was used back then too. Test any painted boards before reusing them. and be sure to wear gloves. Have fun with this. What a wonderful load. Gloria Jean
