Imediate help

    Hi Evryone,
    we r building r chicken coop as i am writing this!
    is it bad to put windows above nesting boxes?

    Hi, I just thought I would give you my opinion. I wouldn't put window's over nesting boxes because of the following reason's...If window's are open and it is raining, nesting boxes are wet. If it is cold the window could cause the nesting box to be drafty. The nesting box is for the hens to relax and be comfortable and to lay eggs. Hope this helps![​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]

    I agree! You also have to be careful how much sunlight gets into the nest boxes. Too much, and they might find another spot to lay. They want it warm, dark, and comfortable.
