IMMEDIATE HELP! "done"

I think about having to cull birds alot (and I don't even have them yet). Proud of you for being responsible for the animals in your care.

Cheryl, so sorry your hen was sick ~ but my hat's off to you for doing the final favor for your friend. It's the least we can do for them when there's no reasonable hope of recovery.

Brave choice, good example for the rest of us.

Cheryl, it was very strong of you to finish this, there is just no easy way to say good bye. My thoughts are with you at this time and I hope she comes back to you in a way of a pleasent chick full of mischief! Take care, Kellie
 
It is never easy. We euthanized our head hen who was dying of salpingitis today. She was nothing but bones in spite of eating all the time. I'll miss her, but it was the best thing, not to continue to allow her to linger. She was loved alot while she was here and if a chicken can know it, she did. I'm sorry, but you were very brave today.
