impacted crop and vent prolapse

I have a 3-4 year old salmon hen. I thought she had vent gleet so I brought her in and give her a bath. the lump that I thought was poop was her vent sticking out. It's the size of a golf ball. I got the poop off then used oil and pushed it back in. She pushes it right back out, hard, panting and straining. My hens haven't laid all summer. we think it was because we supplement light in winter but wasn't in the summer. but a few have started again. I felt inside her vent and I don't feel anything. But then I noticed her crop is full and hard. I massaged it awhile while she was in the bath. Will an impacted crop cause a prolapse? how do I proceed? Work on the crop first? I did put prep H on her vent. I have prebiotics in her water. I didn't give her any food in her pen.

How is she now?
When was the last time she laid an egg that you know of? She could be having trouble laying an egg.
I would get some calcium citrate +D3 and give it to her daily.
Being egg bound can cause the crop to empty slower.

Keep any exposed tissue moist with ointment, oil or honey.

Sometimes tissue is too swollen to go immediately back in, so just keep the tissue moist.

Panting and straining, does she have an egg inside? Is she able to poop at all?

I would work on hydration. Get Calcium into her. Calcium Citrate with D3 (1tablet daily) or you can use TUMS. Calcium will help with contractions and retention. It's very important with a prolapse.

The crop issue may resolve once the prolapse is resolved.
