Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
Hey all, a few days ago my red sex link pullet ate either a screw or bolt, I couldn't tell which one but I saw her pick it up and swallow it in one. Since then it seems as though her crop isn't emptying. 2 nights ago it was full as usual, but the next morning it was still enlarged. It's not huge like some others I've seen, but is consistently the size of a golf ball, maybe a tad larger. It could've been that way before the bolt incident, but either way I'm worried. Thank you!
