My Black Australorp has been isolated for 48 hrs. to treat an impacted crop. Crop is almost empty so going very well. She has not laid an egg in the isolation area. There is a makeshift nest box for her and a roost. I'm wondering if it's normal for them to not lay in this situation. And also since the crop is almost empty would it be good to put her back in with the other 4 hens so she can go back to her Normal surroundings and keep treating her for the little that's left while she's in the coop/run with the others. Thank you for any information. :)

From what I understand any kind of stress can cause a hen to stop laying for a small period of time. Just the stress of her crop situation could cause her not to lay for a few days.
