Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Last year we gave up on all our pear trees because of the pear blight that would come from the cedar trees each year. The forest is lovely but has drawbacks too.
Exactly. It's the price we pay to have all the beauty around us.

Well yesterday was a wake up, spent too much at Costco.
Well the the blasted credit union sent a new statement.
The money that is in his savings is the money that belongs back to his retirement not one f'ing person said at the credit union would tell me but they cut off looking at it online right after he passed.

I didn't. I had a leftover chicken thigh with a bunch of cooked veggies instead. Might have an omelet for lunch and finish the pizza tonight.
Have you ever made a pizza omelet? This is what we often do the morning after pizza. Scrape all the toppings off the top of the pizza and that is your omelet filler. Then toast the crust for your bread. It is really good. I like it much better than leftover pizza.

I hope you are able to work through that okay. It takes a long time to sort out the money when someone passes. We just leave it alone until all is said and done, but it sounds like you thought it was done and settled. Ugh...tough times.

It is easy to spend a lot at Costco. We generally just buy meat, fish, coffee, olive oil and chicken broth, always the same, and our bill will surprise us from time to time. It happens when I buy crab, already shucked in the container, or fresh wild caught fish. Oh well, we love what we love.

I have been doing allot we have a baby gate at the cat room as we call it the other door is there we use a quarter piece of plywood the cats can clear has latch I can flip.
James got a little frustrated pulled a bit hard and popped the hinge at the bottom of the plywood door.
I cut a small piece of plywood this morning too wide so cut it in half
is fixed now.
It is easy and Richard is not here to pay the rest we spent.
Put us both in the oh crap mood.
Only fish I buy at Costco is the rockfish as it is fresh every other is previously frozen makes it bad to me.

I was able to get fresh wild caught Sockeye and fresh wild caught King Salmon back in June at Costco that had not been frozen. We bought a lot and froze it, so we are still eating it. I don't mind frozen fish if I'm the one to freeze it. I shrink wrap it, so it actually stays very fresh. I've tried the rockfish. Too fishy for my taste.

Good news is, Costco has something for everyone. 😁
