Impacted Crop - Part 2 - Paper compaction

That is a good sign. What product are you using for calcium? I was just wondering if you changed to another source if it would help the shells. Have you ever noticed her or anyone else sneezing recently or in the past?

I have only see them sneeze when eating or drinking. Seems that is because they are eating too fast. They think a wet mash if their own food is something special!

The calcium I am giving her is calcium + D3. Once per day.

Are you thinking IB, with your question about the sneezing?

Yes, IB can cause shell gland problems and other reproductive disorders. If there is a mild case sometimes you might not notice it. But an injury can also cause it, as was with my hen who got attacked.

Full crop this morning, and she won’t leave the coop. Doesn’t look like she pooped at all last night either, judging by where she was on the roost last night.

Same status this afternoon. I think she is losing this battle. I checked her vent, and don’t feel anything up there, so I don’t think she is egg bound. But, her crop is not emptying.
