Impacted Crop?!?!

If one of my chickens (approx 1 yr) has impacted crop that makes the one side of her significantly larger - we have tried to massage it out - but to no real avail - what impacts does it have on the chicken --- painful?? Bad eggs?? Thanks for the help.

I recommend:
1. 24 ours only liquid.
2. Use som Copper Sulfate (acidified) 1 gram /2 liters of drinking water for 5 dayes.
