Great I just was double checking.The others are fine, he is the littlest so must be having the biggest problem. They have been on proper feed until a few days ago
Empty crop should be flat and soft, not hard. If your feed does not come in, consider purchasing a small bag of chick starter at your local feed store to tide you over. He looks plenty old enough to handle oats, millet, flaxseed and sunflower hearts, my week olds get things like that. He may have overate, but without a good source of chick grit, he may be having trouble or he may have been eating some grass/bedding as well. Watch to see if he is drinking and re-check the crop overnight again - he needs to have full night without food/water in order the be checked properly.crop had gone down, and was hard and small again
How is the injured chick?she has a swollen red bump now above one eye, which extends over her head a little.
