IMPATIENT for my chicks to arrive! Anyone else?

My DH thinks I'm chicken crazy...I AM! I ordered 10 pullet chicks from Ideal and they will ship on March 2nd! I have the brooder ready to go and we upgraded our coop for when they are big enough to put outside! Now, I just need those FUZZY little BUTTS to get here. I'm having chicken withdrawals!!!!!

I'll keep you guys posted and take lots of baby pics when they arrive!

I just went through this in January. My 110 babies arrived January 29th. I have only lost 4. Not bad considering the weather at that time. I feel your pain...waiting takes forever, and you can think of NOTHING else. Good luck!!!!

I hear you! But- the big day will arrive before you know it. At least you don't have to wait til MAY 23!?!?!?? like I do! Yep, the wait is a killer. Good luck with the new babies- look forward to seeing pics!

I know I'm driving my hubby nuts with my excitement too. Though mine aren't coming to March 25th, seems like forever! Looking forward to seeing pics

I am counting weeks... five weeks yet... However, when I look outside at the three feet of snow on the ground that still has to melt, I might need five weeks... I am anxious to get the coop situated and fencing done while the chicks are in the brooder. I'm thinking impatience is a prime symptom for those suffering with chick fever

I am excited too... mine are coming in just a few days.

Ours are due to arrive March 21st. I've never raised chickens before but my husband has. He's busy drawing up the coop plans now and I've already finished making the brooder! My kids think I'm CRAZY!

I can relate!!!! My chicks come the 25th of February and I am so so impatient! I have everything set up and ready to go. I also spend all my time on BYC, I am definitely addicted! Can't wait to see pics of your new chicks

The wait is awful! I keep going back online to look at chicks and it is all I can do to keep myself from ordering chicks that will arrive sooner. Arrgh! Our chicks are set to ship on the 21st of March, so we will definitely have to share pictures. We are converting a shed for our chicken coop and my husband has built a wall with a door and is now working on nest boxes. He's out there every time I come home from work! Can't wait!
