IMPATIENT for my chicks to arrive! Anyone else?

Only one week left for me... Elizaabeth Country Corner is getting their first shipment next week and I preordered three pullets.

Austrolorp
Light Brahma
Speckled Sussex

And I'm looking to pick up an extra; a Silver Spangled Hamburg. They're suppost to arrive between the 16th and the 18th.

Mine are coming February 23rd from Belt Hatchery! Just a little while longer.

We are going to finish painting, putting the roof on, and covering the windows of their new coop this weekend. Then, it is going to be raining next week, so Saturday and Sunday will be spent setting up the inside for the chicks.

12 days for me. I'm picking up my first chicks on February 23rd. I would be really surprised if we have more cold weather down here in Houston. It's back to the 70's tomorrow. Got my brooder set up and Dad & I will be starting the coop next week or so.

Me too! Ordered my 4 Easter Eggers the first week in Jan. They are set to arrive late April! I am so done with this winter. I'm chomping at the bit wanting to get going already. Cabin Fever is hitting me in a big way!

I can't wait to see everyone's chicks on here, I am sooo excited for the people that have already gotten their chicks. It's fun see which breeds everyone gets.

Count me in on the pins and needles wait list! 32 days until the first shipment comes into my local feed store, where I have already perpaid for 2 SLW and 1 BR! Only 4 weeks frome this coming Wednesday!

Sounds like my life right now. We are currently working on building the coop. With all the preparation going on you would think I would be too busy to think about the chicks but I am so excited! Can't wait to see all the pics on BYC. What breeds have you ordered?

I'm getting sooooo impatient too! We are total newbies to the chicken raising. We are all set to get chicks on February 28th! They are coming in to Tractor Supply then! We are looking for some Rhode Island Reds, Wyandottes, or Sussex. We just found our coop today and got all of the brooding supplies last weekend. Come on 28th!

My 3 year-old daughter is super excited too.

I am so with you guys.... My peepers are being shipped from Ideal around the 2nd or 3rd of March and we are as well working on the new coop aka old shed conversion.

I can't wait... I keep staring at the Calendar.. counting, counting, counting
