Important Question about Weed killer!!!!

I have mulch around my chicken coop and weeds started coming up so I sprinkled some preen (weed killer) around it and one part of the coop is wire and i checked to make sure none went in the coop and i did not see any. If they manage to to eat a little will it kill them? I dont think they can reach the stuff but ive been worring about it.

I'd read the package. We contain our birds for the evening when we treat our yard/property with spray weed killer (not the brand you mentioned). But we let them out the next day, and I'm sure they manage to eat a bit of greenery with the product still on it and I've never had a sick bird....
