So I was told that by 8 weeks my chicks can go out to the coop full time so yesterday I put them out. Well I woke up this morning and went to let them out to the yard and one was lethargic and cold. I took it in and tried to warm it up and gave it access to water and good and it passed away 15 min ago. I am wholeheartedly saddened by this because this was one of the first ones that showed any real personality. Did I do something wrong here? Please I can't take losing chick to something that could be prevented. The rest seem to be fine and just as active. Do I need to put a heat lamp out with them?

I'm a rookie for sure but we live in Arizona and my chicks (1 month to 2-1/2 months) still have a warming light in the coop where they can go if they want. We turn it off during the day.

I think I will put that out there tonight. I won't go through that again

 That is not cold at all!
I know my house where they have been for the last week is kept colder. I am just worried cause I have 32 chicks and dont want any more deaths. So far I have lost 4 all together 2 from stress from shipping one I think the others ganged up in her and bow this one.

They should be off heat by now. Nutrition or cleanliness comes to mind. Is it possible to share photographs of your set up?
Maybe explain the diet you are feeding. Every picture tells a story. Maybe the story told with your pics could preventing a tragic recurrence.
