Importing birds from overseas?

I know there are several people who've imported some of their birds, i.e English Orpingtons, from overseas and I'm just curious as to what is involved with importing birds in to the US. Has anyone ever imported Dorkings?

You may be reading about birds which ARE overseas. I believe you will find the regulations are complicated if not impossible.

I don't know if anyone has imported dorkings, but a couple of people on BYC and Greenfire farms have all imported eggs and or birds. It's not a cheap process.
