I tried to make a homemade incubator 5 days ago to set my serama eggs in. I set two eggs on the 27th and one on the 29. This was my test batch, and the humidity fluctuated from 30 to 70, and the temperature from 95 to 110. Needles to say, I didn't expect anything out of this "test". I FINALLY got the temp at a steady 99.6 with humidity at 60% TODAY (the first of february). For kicks, I tried to candle the eggs.
I saw the faintest spider-vein in one of the eggs I set on the 27th. Is this possible?!?
The eggs were in the WORST conditions for hatching!!! In fact, I even REFRIGERATED them for a day while assembling the homemade incubator!!!
Are eggs really this hardy?
There's no way, right?!?!?!
*also, I have been turning them 3 times a day*
