I have a banty buff brahma hen, and just got a mottled cochin roo. I'd like to start a mille fluer project. The problem- every egg that I have previously tried to incubate has been clear. I know it's not the roo she was in with- I had 100% with his other hens.

I've heard of trimming back-end feathers with cochins- has anyone tried this with a brahma?

I'm not going to start this project until spring, just wonder if I should get another hen just in case.

Trimming the backend feathers would be what I would try first. Although my brahma roo is heavily fluffed out down there and I have almost 100% fertility.
