My hatch rate on my last two hatches has been about 75%. I never got to candle well, so I just leave all eggs in there to see what they do. I'm not sure if the unhatched were fertile or infertile. Do you all know of anything I could do to try to improve my hatch? I am using a Hova Bator Genesis 1588 with turner.

Thanks!

Are you using shipped eggs? Is your humidity spot on the whole time? Why can't you candle well? There are so many factors that could be effecting your hatch rate. have a hova 1588 but I hatch mostly shipped eggs so my hatch rate is never very high.

My eggs are shipped to me. I have not been very accurate with candling even after using a maglite. I have been wrong several times, so I just don't want to risk it. My humidity is 40-50% the first 17 days, then I put them in egg cartons and increase humidity to 80%.
