In a way, my chickens saved my neighbors boxer dog

I just wanted to say thank you for helping her and saving her life - My three boxers Wally, Daisy, and Abbey also want to say thank you.

Boxers are wonderful dogs ( and so are many many other breeds ) - Boxers tend to act like big bad bully's but they are just lovebugs I will never own a couch that does not have a boxer on it nor will I ever have a yard that does not have a chicken in it !!

you are in my book a hero to her - not many people I know would go into a yard to save a dog that normally barks at them while another dog is loose in the yard.

Give your chickens an extra bowl of treats in the morning !!
( what did your neighbor say when you told him/her about what happen?)

Wow...thank you..I would like to think everybody in that situation would help a dog or any animal in need.

Crazy4chicks I left a note on the door and two messages on her recorder, so she had a little time to sort through it before she came to get her. She was in tears and came with a blanket to pick her up, she thanked me over and over and hugged me...she said the dogs have never shown any interest in the pool and it shocked her that this happened. When I was over there getting the dog out of the pool I noticed several inches of standing water around the edge of the pool. I figured it was from the rain but she said it was from the pool and the water level was down...she must have been in there even longer than I thought...what a will to live that girl had! It was seriously cold water, my chicken waterer was frozen as well as the bucket of water I keep outside for when the dogs are allowed out. Anyway, that tells you how cold it was.
I called and check on her today and she said the dog slept until 2:00 this afternoon she was so tired. Poor thing.
