I have been showing chickens on the county level for years and would love to move up to state this year. I just ordered my new flock of 30. The breeds i will be showing are: Black Australorps, Rhode Island Reds (traditional not production), Sliver laced Wyandotte and golden laced, Speckled Sussex, and white Silkies.

If anyone has tips or hints on raising, showprep, bathing, or showing that would help me, I would love to hear from you.

Welcome to BYC. If at all possible get stock from folks who are showing and doing well. It doesn't cost any more to feed a GOOD bird than it does to feed one of lower quality. Good luck at getting started.

Nice breeds of chickens you have. Love those Black Australorps!

You might want to do some reading or posting in the Genetics and Showing section here on BYC. Someone there should be able to help you with this....

Good luck in the shows and welcome to BYC!
