Hi, I'm in Ottawa (Canada), and my Bronze Turkey Hen recently started laying eggs. We currently experience temperatures of -22 F and yet she's been laying one egg almost every day since the beginning of December. She was born in May 2013, and so his her Tom. Is this normal ? They are both in their enclosure outside with access to a small non heated house. I thought she would only start laying in the spring! Could the eggs be fertile ?

Thanks.

Sally

Although the temps are not normal in my area because we don't get that cold, the laying and eggs being fertile is normal.
