i ordered 3 in december for delivery in early june. i would be able to keep them inside for a good while, but since it sounds like waterfowl are much more susceptible than others, would it be a foolish risk to my flock? especially if the summer temps don’t kill the outbreak?

my state has only had one case so far, in march, but i am in new england. they’re from metzer, if that matters. thanks :)

oh, also, sorry if this has been asked somewhere recently, i searched a bit but didn’t find anything.

Your goslings should be fine on arrival, as far as AI is concerned. However, so far this year it's best/ essential to keep our poultry inside, under a roof, away from wild birds or their falling poo from birds flying overhead.
It's about practicing very good biosecurity this year, for who knows how long. If that's possible, go for it!
This year I'm not getting any more birds of any sort, so I can protect the ones already here. First time ever with no chick orders or hatches!
