In my opinion the worst chicken killer is...

I took it far away and set it free. Yea, it killed my chickens, but thats its nature. I'm a animal lover and it was so beautiful I couldn't kill it.

I am so sorry cheyfrie26,.. that's just awful,.. I am soo glad you got it,.. I hope you took it very far away,..I do hope it didn't have babies in a nest,.. but still they would have grown up to kill chickens too,..

again so sorry for your loss,..

To be honest, I'm really against trap and release/relocation, and I regularly dispatch predators. But I don't think I could kill that cute face either! Bad, I know.

I am so sorry to about your chickens:( But i am really happy you sent the little mink free. He/ she looks just like my little ferrets. i love it when people relocate the animals they are having problems with, instead of just killing them

Just a few thoughts along that line. It may be back, they can travel very long distances and have a rehoming instinct. Also, in most areas it is illegal to relocate wild animals. You may have just given someone else your problem. They are also territorial, so unfortunately it can cause additional problems to the rehomed area.

I used the trap, the barricaded it withs boards, and in a separate animal proof cage, I used a chicken. It was alive.
