I live in city limits that, chickens were not allowed unless you lived in the country. The surrounding cities did but not mine. People still continued to have them anyway.
A year ago, I read a 2018 news article about a woman in my city who started to "fight" this because she had 2 pet hens. She talked to neighbors and the local news. In September 2020, it was finally approved to have up to 4 hens or female ducks on a 5,000sqft lot, no roosters.
I thought it was an inspiring story.
"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. Its not” – Dr. Seuss.
