so for the past few weeks we've been getting 30ish eggs a day...but this week thats dropped down to just 8 per day....because all the blooming hens are going broody (although they've got nothing to sit on!!)

ive managed to 'break' a few but have 11 pesistant hens that wont snap out of it. ive tried sitting them in a wire cage with a draught under them for a few days..ive tried cold water....ive even moved them out the field but they keep on trying to sit!

does anyone have any other ideas??

LOL. I dont know about 11 hens. I've had 2 hens go broody at once. I placed one in one cage and the other in another cage, seperated and not visable to each other...with food and water of course. It took 7 days to break one and 12 days for the other. Time behind bars in isolation works lol. Cold water dips dont work and I dont recommend it.
