In need of some chicken information :)

I have about 6 delawars that are 3 years old and in a molt, what are the odds that they will be good layers after this molt? Trying to decide if it is worth keeping them around, I have a couple other 3 year old chickens that only lay one egg a week so I am thinking they will go also.

I have 17 red stars that should start laying in the next month and 7 RIR that just started laying.

My thoughts are to just keep who is currently laying and do away with who isn't since winter is approaching fast.

If you keep them for egg production only, they probably will drop off after this molt. If they are pets you could still keep them.
