I’m relatively new to the poultry world, i ordered my flock last August. I am currently in the middle of a hatch.

I am in Taos county, and the wildfire smoke is finally affecting us from the calf canyon/ hermits peak fire.
It just rolled in really heavy.
What can i do for my flock of 12 outside?

Also i live in a mobile home, and have no air conditioning so it’s currently close to 100 degrees indoors.

Fill plastic bottles/jars & freeze for the chickens outside. If it really gets hot, put ice cubes in the waterer to help keep them cool. Are they cooped or roaming? IF cooped perhaps a box fan blowing out a window would help remove the hot air in the coop & your house.

Sorry to hear about the fires NM is having to deal with ... Pray there's some weather change the will help the firefighters :fl
