In Search for local/semi local Cayuga Ducklings.....

I'm not sure if anyone knows anyone who will be selling baby cayuga ducks in the near future, but if anyone has anything i'm open for suggestions.

I'm sure ordering them through the mail is fine but i don't want to take the risk of them getting here and not be alive, the company we will be going through will replace any deceased birds but i'd still rather take as many precautions as i can, i get very protective sometimes

I was talking to a customer today who was telling me about someone near my location (Cobleskill, NY) that had an ad on craigslist....cannot find the ad, but if she reads this post please PM me

I would love to hatch some as a teaching thing for my kids but I don't know that they would be able to give them Up!

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back, things have been a little crazy lol....We don't really have the materials needed to hatch eggs....We are just starting out and were planning on having the ducks sit on them instead of using an incubator....My husband wants natural lol.

If you have any advice on how i can hatch them without needing an incubator that'd be great lol

I've got 2 Cayuga drakes and 1 female (laying now) and would consider selling them. Only problem is I'm in NJ and you're in NY. But it's only a few hours apart I think (3 hrs to Ithaca from here.) They are proven parents but I"m not hatching anymore big ducks...I'm just working on Mandarins and Australian Spotted ducks now. If you wanted to make the trip or meet somewhere between, I'd make a pretty sweet deal for all 3. PM me if you are interested. I've got to downsize the number of birds I've got.
