She smiled and led Sunny to a log where she could mount easily. She steadied Sunny then said "Alright, whenever you're ready."
Livvie let our a whistle and a fat Great Dane puppy trotted over. “This is Jeda” she explains before limping over to Sunny. Taking a deep breath she placed her real foot in the the stirrup and hoisted her prosthetic leg over Sunny’s back. She softly clicked her tongue and mover Sunny into a walk. Suddenly her mind clouded with negative thoughts and the flashback she’d been having since her fall 2 months ago.
Flashback
Livvie sat astride the beautiful mare as they took the jumping course. One, two, three Livvie lifted out the saddle in perfect harmony with Tanna. She had the state championship coming up in two days. “Ok I think Tanna’s had enough for today” Lisbeth, her instructor called. Easing Tanna back to a walk Livvie patted her neck “good girl” she cooed. “Livvie” a raven haired girl, Sam, ran over leading Buggy the plucky palomino pony “there is a new trail I want to try by the highway. I figured since you were done you’re lesson we could try it”. Livvie nodded “ok sure but we have to be home by 4”. “Great” Sam grinned swinging onto Buggy’s back. The two girls burst into a trot and picked up canter. “Where did you say this was?” Livvie yelled as they turned onto the highway “Only about half a kilometre down” Sam yelled. Livvie had a bad feeling in the Pitt of her stomach. Something they call a ‘gut feel’. A deafening roar filled Livvie’s ears. A sick feeling filled Livvie’s stomach. As if in slow motion the truck skidded and Tanna reared before galloping, Livvie still clinging on for dear life. Then Tanna spun hooking Livvie on the barbed wire fence. Livvie Screamed in agony as her leg was shredded and snapped. And then she fell landing in a pool of her own blood.

Rachel saw her eyes cloud over and quickly, she put her hand on Livvie's shoulder. "Hey, it's okay. I won't let anything happen. We're going to go far away from the highway and Sunny is very well accustomed to farm equipment, so she is very unlikely to get spooked."

Livvie nodded and gave her a a quick smile. “Sorry. I just-nothing” she said

"It's alright. I know this is probably a bit terrifying for you." She said, grabbing Sunny's bridle and slowly leading her into her Grandma's pasture.
Livvie smiled the feeling of such a powerful animal moving beneath her was terrifying but her eyes focused on Rachael and she watched how harmonious she was with her horse

Brooke rubbed the curry comb over Winter, giving him a nice massage. He let out a low nicker, and Prize chimed in with a high whinny. Brooke finished grooming him quickly, and put her nice riding halter on Winter, taking off his cheap Rope Halter. She then clipped his reins to the halter. She then slipped her ovation helmet on and walked him to the log she used to mount up on. She swung her leg on and adjusted her seat. She clicked once and Winter started walking. She walked him over to the entrance of one of her new favorite trails, where she saw to other girls. She breathed out a leaned back, stopping Winter.
"Hello! Your horse is very beautiful!" She told the girls.

Rachel smiled as Sunny tried to nibble at her hair, but she gently pushed her head away and continued slowly leading them onward.
"Oh. Well that's okay!" Brooke said. "You having the best EQ I have seen in months! As in, the winners in my hunter classes have worse EQ than you!"
She laughed. "Well, thank you! Sunny is an amazing horse." She said fondly. "Your horse is really beautiful too."
