In the brooder

Aug 4, 2021
I just got a female pekin duckling and cayuga male duckling both a couple days old, and the male keeps picking at her and bitting her feet, feathers, especially her wings and she is loosing a lot and I’m pretty nervous for her, he yells for her when I separate them but starts non-stop picking at her when there together. Is this normal? And is there anything I can do to help?
Put something they can see through but can’t get to each other and separate them for a few days. I would suggest hardware cloth or chicken wire. That way they can see each other and touch each other but not harm each other.
