In the emergency of a natural disaster where do you move your chickens?

He's a type of lace too... must be Australias most popular goanna
Must be. He is gorgeous though. My first time seeing a goanna. Let’s recap the wildlife I have had on my property:
Koala (Kevin)
Echidna (didn’t stick around long enough to get a name)
Kangaroo (x3...bounced straight through without sticking around)
Goanna (George)
I still have yet to see a platypus but I have seen a brown snake after nearly treading on one last year and red belly black snakes

we live opposite a huge bush reserve, really over grown and in heavy rain it floods really bad.

We see loads Kangaroos there. They often come over to our front yard

we saw a platypus in the creek a few times, but now the creek is dry, so hoping he has a new home.

turtles - OMG the turtles, my daughter would find them along the creek and when she cut through the reserve, she would bring them home in her lunch box 😂😂😂

in our yard we get blue tongues, cunningham skinks, tiger snakes and brown snakes.

that old wives tale, that if you have blue tongue lizards, you won’t get snakes...yeah ...nah..totally false.

Well we have red bellies and we have NEVER seen a brown

I think it could be the blue tongued shingle back that keeps them away. Normally we have big fat browns around here but this is first year our shingles have come into house yard and chook house and I haven't seen any snakes. Red bellies are beautiful... so long as they don't come close. I'd love to see a koala in the wild. Have you seen a possum yet?

I have seen MANY possums we had a Koala take up residence here a couple of years back but he had that virus which is killing off Koalas and he had to be taken and cared for by Wires
