In the spring

My wife and I are excited to get chickens in the spring. I have been reading up here to try to learn as much as I can. I took out our pool and am using the wood from the deck to build a coop. Here it is so far.

Hmmm, we are still thinking about what breed to get. Karen wants brown eggs for sure because she said they taste better. I haven't done a taste test yet to verify that. Me personally, I do like to see a variety of sizes and colors of eggs but I realize we need to consider more than that in our selection of what types to get. I just have to figure out what factors are most important to the health of the flock. Right now I have no idea.
