Why have your clocks gone forwards already? Ours don't for a few weeks yet. Surely daylight doesn't take that long to get to us?

In order for the northern parts of the country to get more daylight to work in when they get home from work -we monkey around with the clocks so that they get to go to work earlier...and work in the dark then.

I guess it depends on what you do. Kids get more play time, farmers just keep doing what they always did because you can not get another hour of daylight out of the day no matter how you rearrange the time.

I think it has something to do with kids going to school in the dark here in the UK as well, but it may well have been something to do with coal or weaving for all I know!
