1 Pulling a label off of a coke bottle to hide the brand is really dumb.

I think it has to do with sugar turning to carmal. Its swelling in the cooking proses..

I think to measure out 55 grams of sugar and look at it would be more accurate.
55 grams = 1/4 cup sugar

As you cook sugar ( 6C-12H-6O ), the hydrogen and oxygen of the molecule will be driven off, and you will end up with more carbon.

It looks awful.
But an occasional cold cola on a hot afternoon is a glorious thing.
