Good luck...

Stuff just got real. I'm getting inked in a couple weeks.
I never understood the tattoo thing. I think long term- tattoos that look cool when you're 20 and buff will look faded, stretched, cheap and crappy when you're 60 or 70. I recall a cartoon of two wrinkled 90 year olds in wheelchairs in a nursing home, both heavily tattooed with the stuff stretched over all the wrinkles and folds, one says to the other "I see you were a complete idiot in the 90's too".

I think its a matter of what you get. It needs to be things that your feeling on can not change... Kids, parents, siblings... Its when you get tattoos to match your current BFF or some picture you think is cool or the worst is the name of your latest fling, those are bad.

I think what heather is getting is a quote or bible verse that holds a lot of meaning for her? While not something I would do, I dont think she is a likely to regret it as most people do with other tattoos.

I am more of a sharpie person myself. That is as long as I can commit.

SO! I am driving up to get my bee boxes tomorrow. They have these cool copper roofs that I can get.
I am thinking of painting it like this:

Unless it will be too hot. I assume they paint them white for a reason. I will ask the Dadant people tomorrow.

That has got to be the cutest bee hive I've ever seen (and I've seen quite a few). We've left our English Garden hives natural (they also have the cooper top), but we did paint our top bar hive white. Wish I had the talent for this though!
