Good to see you back on here, have wondered where you were.  You always had interesting photos/ points of view - hope you are okay.

Thank you. I have been reading posts but i have not posted much. Today is the one year anniversary of my step father's death. It  feels like it shouldn't be so long. This past year has been a whirlwind of chaos, court dates (still in that darn land dispute) mom breaking her leg and needing surgery, working on my own health ( I now frequent the gym and I am so much more fit), loosing a close friend but gaining a significant other, expanding my flock, and preparing to move. I feel like I've aged ten years this past year, for better and for worst, but the odd thing is that through all of this, when my personal life crashed and burned, when I nearly went into financial ruins, and my family shattered from grief, we ended up somehow repairing our cracks with gold and bonding. As a family we are so much stronger, and the friends that stuck with me through all of this are dearer to my heart that i ever thought friends would be. So I am OK, good even. A little more mellow, and a lot more appreciative.

Sounds like our cat Oreo.

Though that's not really fair to her - not any more. She, too, has mellowed; now she can manage snuggles without major blood loss (most of the time, anyway)
