Their loss. One would think that if they had a local native by the name of "Turtle-at-Home" they'd all have songs about him, and sock puppets, and they'd all be doing plays in preschool.

I'm naming something after him. One must not let a name like that slip away.

Our turtle's name is Albert Pine. I knew not of 'Dragging Canoe' or 'Turtle at home' at the time.
 
Wow, some people just can't admit when they are wrong.

I live in a native town and now I am going to do some research into its real history, not the one on the sign.

The reality of history is that everything big enough to be wrote in to a history book destroyed someones lives somewhere. History writers always try to hide the losers in every great event.

WWII is all about us saving the world. Nothing about the lies an crimes we committed that got us in to the war. Nothing about the concentration camps we crammed fellow Americans in to based on race.

Then there is Arlington. Thats where honor our national heroes by burring them in stolen ground. Stolen from a man cause he refused to lead a illegal war invading other American states.

I think .......and this is only me .......that if people actually knew all the evil done by the leadership that has been voted in , those who took over a country or what ever any country has done in it's past as well as the present time ? well there would be such turmoil and fighting that what we want might just get destroyed by that . I don't in any way justify any of the atrocities done towards so many for the few who decided that it was for the greater cause , someone once said that we think we have come so far , yet we are as of days of old , nothing changed ! ...............hope that made sense ?
