What kind of store is a ROSS?

I am from the deep southern Appalachians an know a few married cousins from generations past but marriage is a bit much even here now.

We have a Ross store that opened last year. We ran to scope it out. They kinda billed it as a discount department store. It was a dump, with things all in disarray - for some reason shoppers think that means bargains.

The stuff was not all in good condition, things that were fairly decent were priced too high. In general I was not comfortable there. My brother thinks its like a TJ Maxx or Marshall's but then he is not much of a shopper.

I would pick TJ or Marshall's over them any day.- If you are looking for picture frames, they often have clearance ones for very good prices.
