in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

We got the gate made, but my camera had a wonky memory chip, so I do not have it up and completed, but use your imaginations. One is up and not finished, and one is down and completed -and a couple close ups. I can not figure out how to get this picture to turn to the right. It is fine on my files, maybe it was the corrupted memory card. I am happy with how it turned out. I have a design ready for the bigger bee garden gate and one for the winter garden gate. Good thing he likes me.
Wow! That is gorgeous! I want one....or maybe five! They really are cool. Jan, you're so creative.:thumbsup

I told my husband that we need to start going through people's trash cans for their empty spray cans.
I have run out of marbles.
When I was younger, the marbles were red -now we get blue and green and clear.

OMG! You do that too! I have a bunch of those in a glass! I even have the little metal ones, too. That's so cool, I have a method that gets them out quickly. :)

My husband blows all the gas out. Wraps it in a rag and then punches a pair of needle nose pliers into it.
It is exciting. What will it be? What color is it? And will it blow off any fingers this time?
Well, that last on is more stressful than exciting.

Eggsie, keep your fingers, I'll give you the buck $, Dollar Tree has marbles. You can't be sure all the gas is out of a can

He has been doing it for fifty years.
Which makes me wonder if his mom knew he was doing that? I wouldn't have let my kid do that.

I will go look at the dollar tree!
Red would be awesome.
Snapdragon colors!
When I cut our the dragonfly, I wish I had kept the cutout for an applique, but the puppy was chewing on the bits and pieces.
By the time I am done with my gates, I will have it all figured out.

I think a spider's web would be neat, but how do I keep the design together, any ideas?

This is my tool of choice. You put the can on the ground and brace it with your foot. Then you just tap it with the tip of the sickle, just a small puncher gets the gas out. Then you hit it hard to drive it in, then twist it making a round hole. Dump the residue paint and marble on the ground and use your foot to roll it around in the dirt, to get the paint off.
