We just had the one when I was a teen. That was my dads house in Alabama. We also had gators there. I am in georgia where it is legal an probably where dad got that one from years ago.

From what I can tell, you could get them in SC until 2003. They changed the laws then an people that already have them still can have them but there is no legal way to get one now. The Ga border is not that far though.... Just saying....

They eat cat food, or ours did anyway. The websites say its to fatty for them. They will eat anything though. I dont remember anything we gave him that he refused to eat.

q I would love to have one and yes I could travel to get one but I need to have a vet for the little guy. I know they have breeders that breed them, do you know of any that treat the animals well? It is very important for me not to support bad breeders. BY thanks for your help.

I dont know anything about breeders. Only place I have ever seen them offered was pet stores.
 
Cyn, what is the first picture - the thingie with medusa stuff coming off it's head? And the last one is scariest of all shirt with Tide, brightener spots. I'm not going in the water.
 
I think the first one is a squid. And yes, I thought that last one was the weirdest underwater creature ever!
