Pasha , I am 100%sure that your end of the world would be wonderful , as I would say the same thing of where I live , but through the eyes of someone else it looks different .....thus we have tourist industry ....lol... but you do keep at it and I admire that . The Pig is huge , do the sows grow as big as the males ? I raise a few , just the heritage ones , so far loving it ....was going to breed two , but the cost of feeding and holding a boar has kept me from doing this . Have two that will be getting butchered soon .....around 500+ lbs each so ?

I really don`t know, it will be my first piglet. I never kept any pigs before )) When i will have some experience, i will can write something.
My neigbors don`t have any pigs, i can`t see it. I have seen this pigs only when i was very young, we lived in another place. Then this pigs was really big, but now... Maybe i think that they are big only because i was very little ))
I can see some ads in the Internet, well, in the supper (or maybe in the spring) i hope i will call anywhere and buy one little piglet.

Pasha you are also a very smart person. You start with a small amount of animals to see if you like it first. Many people here start out and get many animals and are overwhelmed and unhappy. They want things too soon and don't learn about them first.

That huge pig is scary though - must take a very, very strong pen to keep him confined. He could do a lot of damage if he got loose.

I will buy one piglet. The piglet will not be big at the beginning.
Now i prepare one place for the piglet 2x3 m indoor enclosure. And after that i have one nice place at the back of the shed, 3x15 m. There i will build one "house" for the pig (i will not buy something, i will cut in the woods a few small trees), one... i don`t know how tell that in the english correct... The logs for scratching? and troughs for food and water. I will need to build only 3 m of the fence (another side have a fence yet). One 15 m long side is the fence of my plot of land (this is a good fence width 1,2 m depth of reinforced concrete foundation - the pig will can`t dig), another 15 m long side is the wall of the shed (on the reinforced concrete foundation too).
I want someting like that for the summer:

but i will build it of the trees, and the place for the walk will be bigger.

But when i was very young i have seen this pigs before. They are very lazy and not agressive. Only one time i have read about the agression of this pig - when the owner invite another pig to the fence of he`s pig. He violated a rule: it is desirable to bring the girl to the boy on he`s territory, and not vice versa. It turned out that the girl did not like the boy, and she decided that it claims to get she`s territory, they fought and broke the corral. No one is not particularly affected, but the boy was bitten several times by a girl when he molested her.
The most vivid memory of my childhood is when an old woman was carrying such a large pig on the bus (!), tying it with string. Pig was so calm, as if all his life went on the bus. In those days it was very old Soviet buses and they often cut middle rail at the door, because the residents always something pulled, the bags of cabbage, even pigs (!). Although, of course, the big pig riding the bus width any old woman - it was very funny. Now I'm not sure that this would be allowed, but once I drove goslings in a box, they smelled a little, but no one did not swear at me.

If you spend time with the piglet it will be very easy to manage , and although you say only one , try to get two , easier to manage as it will have a friend instead of being alone . The building just needs to be big enough to sleep in , if it has a outdoor pen then it will be there during the daylight hours ,A two meter by two meter building would be fine , but you will be doing some research I'm sure .....all the best with this new addition once you get it

Thanks, i really want something like that. The problem is the trees here is curves and thin, but i hope i will find 2 m long normal logs. This is a house for the summer, maybe for the autumn, in the winter the piglets will live in the shed. One "room" for the goats, one - for the goat-boy, and one "room" for the piglets. Now i understand what i will need 2 piglets, no one.
