I don’t remember if I posted this already or not, at least I’ll repeat it. It seems that I only discussed this on the Russian-language dacha-garden forum, but not here.
In general, I have a barn, there are reinforced concrete floors, and the territory where the goats live is separated from the corridor by a partition. So that the hay spilled by the goats (during feeding) does not fall out (too actively) into the corridor, I put a thick log on the bottom. Here is the original log:

And this is what happened to him after the first wintering with goats:

They left me some kind of gnawed stub from this log. These are not goats, these are some beavers :D

Now I managed to find another, thick log. This time - oak. I hope it will withstand the onslaught of goats that are bored in the barn for a longer time in winter.
